About Dr. Alok Kumar Jha

• Dr. Alok Kumar Jha serves as the Senior Consultant and Head of Department for Urology at SSB Heart & Multispeciality Hospital, Faridabad. With over 25 years of experience in the field, Dr. Jha brings a wealth of knowledge and expertise to his role. He specializes in managing complex urological conditions and has been instrumental in advancing urological care in the region.
• Dr. Jha completed his MBBS from Patna Medical College and Hospital, where he was awarded a Gold Medal for his exemplary performance. He further obtained a Master of Surgery (MS) from the same institution and later, a Diplomate of National Board (DNB) in Urology from India’s premier Institute Muljibhai Patel Urological Hospital in NADIAD Gujarat. His commitment to the field is also marked by his membership in the National Academy of Medical Sciences (MNAMS).
• Prior to joining SSB Hospital, Dr. Jha has held several prominent positions in notable healthcare facilities. He was the Chief Urologist at RG Stone Urology and Laparoscopy Hospital, Faridabad and headed the Urology Departments at Asian Institute of Medical Sciences, Faridabad and St. Stephens Hospital, New Delhi. His experience also includes consultancy at Saket City Hospital (now Max Smart), New Delhi and Safdarjung Hospital, New Delhi, where he served as Senior Resident in Urology.
• Throughout his career, Dr. Jha has been recognized for his professional excellence and contributions to medical science. He secured the first rank in the Medical and Dental Admission Test across Bihar and Jharkhand. In 2009, he was honored as the ‘Employee of the Year’ by St. Stephens Hospital Welfare Society. Notably, he established the first successful Renal Transplant Programme in Faridabad while at the Asian Institute of Medical Sciences, significantly enhancing local healthcare services.
