His areas of interest include head and neck cancer, breast cancer, thoracic and musculoskeletal cancer, gastrointestinal cancer, colorectal oncosurgery, laparoscopic oncosurgery/minimally invasive surgery, and gynaecological oncosurgery.
He completed his MBBS in 1988 and his MS in General Surgery in 1994, both from RNT Medical College, Udaipur.
He further earned his DNB in General Surgery in 1995.
Dr. Baxi pursued a Fellowship in Surgical Oncology at Gujarat Cancer & Research Institute, Ahmedabad, in 2001.
He also received additional training at Memorial Sloan Kettering Cancer Center in New York and Kameda Hospital in Japan.
He was honoured with the Indian Healthcare Excellence Award in 2021 for his exceptional contributions to surgical oncology.
Dr. Baxi has published and presented numerous papers nationally and internationally and has contributed as a co-author to chapters in medical textbooks.
He is a life member of several professional organisations, including the Indian Association of Surgical Oncology, the Association of Surgeons of India, the Indian Association of Surgical Gastroenterology, and the Society of Surgeons of Nepal, as well as a member of the Udaipur Surgical Society.
