Dr. Amit Javed is a well-known General & Laparoscopic Surgeon with over 24 years of experience.
His expertise lies in gastrointestinal cancer and bariatric or weight loss surgery, and performs over 1000 surgeries each year.
He received his MBBS from Kasturba Medical College in 2001 and his MS in General Surgery from the Postgraduate Institute of Medical Education & Research (PGIMER), Chandigarh, in 2004.
Dr. Javed then did an MCh in gastrointestinal surgery from All India Institute of Medical Sciences (AIIMS), New Delhi, in 2009.
He is ECFMG, FACS and ASTS certified.
Dr. Javed is recognised as the first surgeon in India to perform Whipple’s surgery to cure pancreatic cancer in a 6-month-pregnant lady.
He is an active member of the Indian Association of Surgical Gastroenterology and the International Association of Surgeons Gastroenterologists and Oncologists.
