About Dr. S.S Bansal

  • Dr. Shyam Sunder Bansal is a renowned interventional cardiologist with experience of 30 years in the field of heart disease management. He is the Chairman & Managing Director of SSB Heart & Multispecialty Hospital, Faridabad.
  • He is the first qualified DM cardiologist of Haryana State. He started the first dedicated heart hospital in the state in 2002.
  • He is MD (medicine), DM & DNB (Cardiology) and has been conferred prestigious American fellowships, FACC & FSCAI for his outstanding contribution in the field of cardiology.
  • Dr. S.S. Bansal started his professional career as the first cardiologist of Haryana in 1994 in Escorts Hospital, Faridabad. In 2002, he started the first dedicated heart hospital in Sun flag Hospital where he introduced many heart procedures for the first time in the state. In the year 2020, he started SSB Heart & Multispecialty Hospital.
  • He and his team has treated more than 2 lac heart patients so far successfully which also includes foreign patients and has performed more than 50,000 heart procedures including complex angioplasties, pacemaker, rotablators, OCT, IVUS, Pressure wire, heart hole closure without surgery etc. His vision is to make “SSB a sought after destination for healthcare by patients from India & Abroad” & mission is to make healthcare services more affordable.

Interesting Cases

  •  Rare case of femoral vein angioplasty with stenting in 2012 in India. Very few cases have been done in the world.
  •  Rare case of 22 years, long standing IVC obstruction causing liver cirrhosis (Budd chiari syndrome) opened successfully with angioplasty & stenting. Very few cases have been done in the world so far.
  • Among first few cardiologist to put parylene coated pacemaker in India in a patient who was allergic to titanium, the metal which is used for pacemakers. Become of allergy the pacemaker machine come out of his body 3 times.
  •  Among First few cardiologist to implant Protacta combo device in India on June 29th, 2010, which is highly sophisticated device, prevented sudden death & improved the function of heart in a patient with refractory heart failure with ejection fraction of 15%. Patient has improved remarkably and still doing well after 3 years.
